TDA-6 (Tridecyl Alcohol Ethoxylate, 6 Moles of EO) is a type of non-ionic surfactant commonly used in industrial applications due to its emulsifying, wetting, and solubilizing properties. This surfactant is produced by reacting tridecyl alcohol (a fatty alcohol) with ethylene oxide, resulting in varying degrees of ethoxylation, in this case, 6 moles of ethylene oxide (EO).

Here are some properties and typical uses of TDA-6:

Properties: Non-ionic: It doesn't carry any charge, making it less likely to form complexes with ions in water, resulting in stable emulsions. Good wetting and emulsifying agent: Suitable for both oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions. Moderate foaming: Compared to other surfactants, TDA-6 has moderate foaming properties, which can be advantageous in various applications. Soluble in water: It has moderate water solubility, making it effective in aqueous formulations.
