About Hydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13
1) Product Description
Alsil AD13 is a second-generation special amino fluid designed to give excellent softness with smoothness. Alsil AD13 is hydrophobic amino silicone oil to give softness along with sufficient smoothness. It has cationic nature that enhances its ability of exhaustion on the substrate. These fluids are easily emulsified with standard
emulsifiers. Unlike most Amino Silicone fluids which are hydrophobic in nature.

Superior Textile Finishing with Lasting BenefitsHydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13 acts as both a textile softener and a water repellent agent. Developed from amino functional polydimethylsiloxane, AD-13 delivers a remarkably soft, smooth touch while ensuring fabrics retain excellent water resistance. Its durable effect makes it ideal for high-performance textiles, conforming to industrial standards for quality and stability.
Simple Application Methods for Versatile UseThis ready-to-use silicone oil integrates seamlessly into textile processing lines and can be applied using padding, exhaust, or spraying methods. It is easily dilutable as required, with a recommended dosage of 1-5% on the weight of fabric. AD-13 is transparent and fully soluble, providing flexibility for different textile types and finishing requirements.
Safe Handling and Storage for Optimal ResultsTo maintain quality, store Hydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13 in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight. The product remains stable when handled according to recommended guidelines and has a flash point above 200C, ensuring safe use in industrial settings. Its shelf life extends to 12 months under proper storage conditions.
FAQ's of Hydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13:
Q: How should Hydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13 be applied to textiles?
A: Hydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13 can be used through padding, exhaust, or spraying methods. The product is ready to use but may be diluted as needed. Follow the recommended dosage of 1-5% based on the weight of the fabric for optimal performance.
Q: What are the main benefits of using AD-13 on fabrics?
A: AD-13 imparts excellent softness, a smooth handle, and durable water repellency to textiles. It creates a high-quality finish that is pleasing to the touch and offers lasting resistance to water under standard usage conditions.
Q: When is the best time to add AD-13 during the textile processing?
A: AD-13 should be incorporated during the finishing stage of textile processing, after dyeing and prior to final drying. This ensures the softening and water-repellent properties are optimally imparted to the fabric.
Q: Where should AD-13 be stored for maximum shelf life?
A: Store AD-13 in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Proper storage conditions help maintain its stability and effectiveness for up to 12 months.
Q: Is Hydrophobic Amino Oil AD-13 compatible with all textile chemicals?
A: AD-13 is compatible with most textile auxiliaries; however, avoid using it in conjunction with strong cationic and strong anionic chemicals to ensure optimal performance and product stability.
Q: What makes AD-13 different from other textile softeners and repellents?
A: AD-13 is a silicone-based, amino-modified oil with a high level of purity (99%) and a uniquely weak cationic nature, which provides both a luxuriant soft touch and strong, long-lasting water repellency with reliable stability in most textile finishing systems.
Q: How does the water-repellent effect of AD-13 endure after washing?
A: When applied according to guidelines, AD-13 delivers a durable water-repellent finish that maintains its performance through multiple wash cycles, thanks to its advanced silicone polymer structure.
